Prototype and pilot-use notice
Important information for anyone using Expert Witness QA during the current testing phase.
Prototype for controlled testing only.
Automated redaction is not guaranteed. Do not upload identifiable or confidential case material unless appropriate authority and governance are in place.
This platform is currently being developed and tested. It is not yet a final commercial, compliance-approved or unrestricted product.
During this testing phase
- use anonymised or synthetic documents wherever possible;
- do not upload identifiable patient, claimant, witness or third-party information unless you have authority, governance and safeguards in place;
- review the redacted preview carefully before proceeding;
- treat outputs as advisory QA prompts only;
- verify all outputs against source material;
- do not use the tool to form or alter an expert opinion unless you independently agree with the issue identified;
- do not serve or disclose the generated QA output as expert evidence;
- keep any downloaded QA output confidential and restricted to those who need to see it.
Reporting issues
If you encounter unexpected behaviour, errors in the AI output, or concerns about redaction, please note the issue for reporting to the development team. Do not proceed with review output that appears materially incorrect or that contains unredacted identifiers.
What comes next
Before wider release, Expert Witness QA is expected to undergo formal data protection impact assessment, legal review, security testing and governance documentation. Specialty modules for orthopaedic trauma and other disciplines are in development. These terms and conditions, privacy notice and governance documents will be updated accordingly.
